by FABRIZIO BOSSO (trumpet) and JULIAN MAZZARIELLO (piano)

A true amarcord in which the two artists are inspired to give their best, abounding in most wise and enjoyable moments. Beyond each individual performance, always leveled on highest quality standards, their duets can be considered true works of art.

Fabrizio and Julian have known each other many years, being Mazzariello the first pianist in the High Five Quintet, which Fabrizio has been fond of for a long time. Central in all their performances is a constant refusal to consider music categories as distant and irreconcilable worlds.

Here again, Fabrizio shows an incredible capacity in finding brilliant match points between different genres and styles, and Mazzariello as well, is not certainly new to such transversal experimentation. Drawing on the most traditional jazz repertoire, the duo unveils and revives the Italian melodic tradition from which much Western music drew its origins. Its music captures the audience with a charming sound, in a mixture of tension and stretching, beautiful improvisation, lyricism and energy.
