Pentas Tari “Fado & Silk” Oleh Internationaal Danstheater akan digelar pada Mei mendatang dan dipentaskan oleh The Internationaal Danstheater (ID) adalah salah satu grup tari tertua dari Belanda. Saat ini ID membuat transisi ke sebuah konsep artistik baru yang mengangkat unsur atau elemen budaya dari seluruh dunia sebagai dasar untuk produksi tari kontemporer.

Kali ini kepada sahabat Gedung Kesenian Jakarta The Internationaal Danstheater (ID) akan mempersembahkan dua buah tarian yaitu FADO dan SILK

FADO adalah produksi bersama dari Internationaal Danstheater dengan Companhia Portuguesa de bailado Contemporâneo (CPBC) di Lisbon, Portugal.

The SILK mengangkat dua legenda dari keindahan belahan sisi negeri oriental serta menceritakan mengenai kekuatan seorang perempuan muda bernama Hsi Ling Shih dan putri sutra (juga calon istri dari Raja Khotan) dalam upayanya mencari kebebasan dan keindahan.

The Internationaal Danstheater (ID) is one of the oldest dance companies of the Netherlands. The ID recently made a transition to a new repertoire with a focus on using elements of cultures from around the world as the basis for contemporary dance productions. This time The Internationaal Danstheater (ID) will present FADO and SILK for friends of Gedung Kesenian Jakarta.

FADO is a coproduction of the Internationaal Danstheater with Companhia Portuguesa de Bailado Contemporâneo (CPBC) in Lisbon, Portugal.

The production SILK is based on two legends from the wondrous world of the Orient and shows the power of the young women Hsi Ling Shih and the silk princess (also the future wife of the King of Khotan), looking for freedom and beauty.
