New Olds Design Between Tradition and Innovation Exhibition

With the exhibition “New Olds“, the curator Volker Albus and the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen e.V. (IfA) showcase design between tradition and innovation. 60 exhibits take on the themes of material, construction, configuration, production and traditional use. 45 designers and design teams from Germany, other European countries and the USA participate in this intensive dialogue.

The success of the international tour of the exhibition and its ability to connect with local design-cultures on site illustrate the international relevance of the topic.

For the exhibition in Indonesia, artists and designers Bagus Pandega, Cecilia Patricia Untario, Leonardiansyah Allenda and “thedeoMIXBLOOD” by Bonar Diat (Otong) and Fahla Fadhilah (Dila) pick up the debate in their exhibited artworks.

Goethe-Institut in Indonesia and Art1: New Museum presents the exhibition from the 22nd of November to the 13th of December 2013. We look forward to your coming.
