In this solo exhibition, Eko Nugroho will present new works, in the form of murals, sculptures and installations. All of the murals and installations have been created on-site as his response to the immediate space.
Eko Nugroho is one of the most important artists in Indonesia today. He has exhibited works in public spaces, galleries, and museums across the world. His works borrow comic visuals/aesthetics and are rich with social critique.
Earlier this year, Eko Nugroho showed his installation works at Art Gallery of South Australia for OzAsia Festival. He’s also one of the Indonesian artists showcased at the 2015 Frankfurt Book Fair.
