ACHILLES FORMULA DRIFT ASIAN SERIES 2012;
FINAL BATTLE, INDONESIA

Originating in Mount Haruna, Japan, drifting has grown rapidly and continues to attract more people. Its popularity has stretched well beyond the Western hemisphere. A group of strong and competitive drifters from around the world gather annually to show their capabilities and to compete over the ‘Drift King’ title.

Being the best of the best, Daigo Saito from Achilles Drift Team, crowned as the Drift King of Formula Drift 2012 Championship in USA, is now ready to show his skill to all the drifter fans here in Indonesia at Achilles Radial Formula Drift Indonesia next November. In association with ESPN STAR Sports Event Management and Driftpac, Achilles Radial proudly presents Achilles Radial Formula Drift Asian Series 2012, the Final Battle at JIExpo, Kemayoran, Jakarta. The two previous series was held in Malaysia (May 2012) and Singapore (June 2012). The event is promised to excite drifter fans by presenting top notch drivers from Asia and around the world.

As the main sponsor, Achilles will deliver world class drifters such as;

1. Achilles Drift Team, Daigo “The Ninja” Saito (The World Champion of Formula Drift USA 2012, Champion of D1 GP Japan Series 2012, Champion of Achilles Formula Drift Asian Series 2011) and Robbie Nishida (Ranked Top 15 Formula Drift USA) from Japan;
2. Achilles Drift Team, M. Rulli Armando (Runner Up Achilles Formula Drift Indonesia 2011, Champion Drift War 2012) and Dika C.H. from Indonesia;
3. WSA (William Syailendra Achillles) Drift Team, E. Adwitya Amandio (Formula Drift USA driver and FD Asia Rank#4) from Indonesia;
4. Achilles BZR Drift Team, Muhammad Zaiham Hamdan from Malaysia.

In collaboration with ESPN, Achilles Radial Formula Drift Indonesia 2012 will be broadcast live on Star Sports from The Top 16, between 3.30pm to 6.30pm on Sunday, 18 November.”

For the final battle in Indonesia, a new contest besides the main competition will also be introduced – the 36BOL Asia Drift Cup. Fourteen of the world’s best drifters will be involved in this competition segment.

Details of the participating teams will be announced at a later stage.

Also for the first time in Indonesia, the organisers will be adopting an integrated paddock cum sponsors’ interactive zone.

This year, Achilles Formula Drift Indonesia 2012 will be held in JI Expo, Kemayoran on 17th-18th of November.
