German Cinema Film Festival

german cinema film festival

For the second time Goethe-Institut Indonesien brings the best of what German cinema has to offer to Indonesia’s screens with the GERMAN CINEMA film festival 2013.

The programme contains a fine selection of 15 current, internationally acclaimed and award-winning German film productions with English subtitles and includes feature films such as Christian Petzold’s “Barbara” – a drama that takes place in East Berlin in the 1980s – but also documentaries and family films.

With this cross-section of the German film landscape, the festival seeks to inspire the Indonesian audience for German Cinema. Screenings will be held in the cities Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Makassar, Medan, Balikpapan and Palu.
